Construction Update for the Week of October 2nd, 2017

    • Significant progress continues to be made with the Academic Core project. Work continues with all 3 buildings to include interior wall framing, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing preparations and fire proofing. Exterior Scaffolding is being installed in Building 1. Structural preparation work is in progress in the large tiered classroom in building 1.
    • Geothermal Ground Loop – Phase I project is now substantially completed. All work in Parking Lots A, D, E & K are now completed and these lots are currently open to staff and students
    • Building 5 Renovation & Hyman Hall Renovation: Both projects are underway with architects. Development of schematic design plans, potential designs, project scopes, and budgets are in progress.
    • Newark Security Upgrade: Plans for the project are at the 50% construction document phase.

Updates for the week of September 15, 2017

Construction update:

  • Construction is active for the Geothermal Ground Loop project.
  • Lot K is now completed and ready for staff and student use.
  • Lot D is also completed and is accessible for staff and students for the Fall semester.
  • The initial design review has been completed for the North Parking project.
  • Building 5 Renovation: Work is progressing into the Schematic Design Phase and the end users are reviewing schematic design layouts for the second and third floors.
